It started with a thought

when I was browsing the Internet in early 2009 to get inspiration to a trip over summer. I had travelled quite a bit before and now I wanted to do something different. I read about people who had cycled long distances, and after a lot of thought I took a decision: I will cycle from Sweden to Croatia.

Without much experience in cycling, mediocre equipment and little ability to repair a bicycle, I took of to Croatia in summer 2009. I arrived 25 days later – and was surprised of how fast it went and how frictionless everything had been. So I decided to take a year off University and continue, which ended up in a 14 600 km bicycle journey to Singapore.
