It started with a thought

when I was browsing a Swedish travel forum in winter 2009. The urge for experiencing the world from a bicycle got stronger and stronger when I at the same time read a book about the importance of challenging the comfort zone. I took the decision – I will cycle from Sweden to Croatia.

So with no experience in cycling, no training, no ability to repair a bicycle, mediocre equipment, I took off to Croatia in summer 2009. 25 days later I arrived – and I was suprised of how relaxing and easy it was. I just wanted to continue. I decided to take a year off school and keep on cycling, a 14 600km journey that took me to Singapore.

I want to urge more people to travel – the experience and insights obtained are invaluable. I am amazed by the power of simplicity and how it enables you to discover new things, when travelling as well as in daily life.
